Abstract
The study considers the main provisions of sustainable progress of the country through the factors of development of regions. Using the example of the Samara region, it is shown that digital technologies can significantly affect the economic and social state of the region. Digitalization provides endless opportunities to perfect the efficiency of all folk economic processes, rises the competitive power of the region. The spheres of the economy, where most of digital projects are being implemented in the Samara region, are identified. The study considers specific information systems that improve the excellence of life of the people and help overcome threats to the region’s development, as well as the expected economic effect from the introduction of digital projects.
