Abstract

This chapter discusses the current state and way forward for the LEAP Market. This chapter also analyses the trend of the listing in the LEAP Market and the number of firms by sector in Bursa Malaysia. Next, this chapter discusses the Capital Market Masterplan (CMP3), Consultation Paper No. 2/2022, LEAP Market Transfer Framework, and listing criteria. This chapter also makes a comparison between LEAP and KONEX, followed by a SWOT analysis. This chapter concludes with the way forward and policy suggestions to overcome the issues investors face when listing on the LEAP market.

TT Vision Holdings Berhad, a Penang-based automated machine vision solutions provider, was listed on LEAP in May 2019, it received the approval from Bursa to be delisted in April 2022.

MyKRIS Asia Sdn Bhd, a managed network and security services company, was acquired by Maxis Berhad in October 2021 following price disconcert on LEAP Market.

Cosmos Technology International Berhad, an integrated water technology solutions provider, was listed on March 2020, and announced its plan to seek an ACE Transfer in July 2021.

It is listed on April 27, 2018 in LEAP Market. It was delisted on December 9, 2020.
