Zusammenfassung

Im Mainstream der Führungsentwicklung wird Macht selten explizit adressiert, sondern meist ausgeblendet. Dies geschieht z. B., indem komplexe soziale Prozesse als rein psychologische verstanden werden oder indem Macht als vermeintlich neutrale Ressource im Dienst von unproblematischen Zwecken behandelt wird. Als Konsequenz bleiben zentrale Einflussfaktoren auf Führungserfolg sowie ethische Fragestellungen unterbelichtet und die Entwicklung von relevanten Machtkompetenzen wird nicht gefördert. Der Beitrag untersucht solche „blinden Flecken“ der Führungsentwicklung im Zusammenhang mit gängigen Führungskonzepten, dominanten Diskursen, verbreiteten Herangehensweisen und charakteristischen Machtdynamiken und beleuchtet, wie diese einem aufgeklärten Zugang zu Machtaspekten der Führung gegenüberstehen. Ein kurzer Blick auf alternative Führungsentwicklungsansätze ergänzt die Betrachtung.
