Zusammenfassung

Das Verständnis der Rolle des internationalen Handels ist der Schlüssel zum Verständnis von Chinas wundersamem Wirtschaftswachstum. In diesem Beitrag wird die Literatur über den internationalen Handel im Zusammenhang mit China untersucht, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf dem verarbeitenden Handel, der Handelsliberalisierung und der Unternehmensleistung liegt, um ein besseres Verständnis der Erfahrungen Chinas mit der Öffnung in den letzten vier Jahrzehnten zu ermöglichen.

Laut dem chinesischen statistischen Jahrbuch (2008) lag die Abhängigkeitsquote in China im Jahr 2007 bei nur 0,4. Diese Zahl war nicht nur niedriger als die durchschnittliche Abhängigkeitsquote in Ostasien, sondern auch eine der niedrigsten Abhängigkeitsquoten in der ganzen Welt (Yao & Yu, 2009).
