With the implementation of the EECC (EU) 2018/19721 into Austrian national law in October 2021, a big step towards the future development of frequency management was taken. Yet, besides legal aspects regarding telecommunications services and infrastructure in general, the new Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 20212) also provides the legal and regulatory framework for the development and administration of radio frequencies. According to the Telecommunications Act, the Supreme Telecommunications Authority3 is the authority in charge. Therefore, the respective minister needs to ensure the lawful, effective, and efficient use of the frequencies under its remit. …
